also a dream is…

a small project devoted to the wines, foods, landscapes and living traditions of Atlantic Iberia.

Through tastings, field trips and intimate events, we share wines that speak clearly of place and maker, with a special focus on Portugal and the coastal regions that connect it to the wider Iberian world. We are drawn to native grapes, old vines, small producers, ancestral methods, fresh ideas and bottles with enough character to spark conversation.

But the wines themselves are only part of that story. A glass can open onto a region’s food, history, craft, climate and ways of gathering. Our work is about creating those moments of connection: between guest and host, bottle and table, landscape and memory, curiosity and pleasure.

Also a Dream is led by Michael, a translator of Spanish and Portuguese whose years moving between languages and cultures shaped the way he thinks about wine: not as a luxury object or scorecard exercise, but as a living expression of place, people and care.

In Portugal, that understanding deepened. Wine became a way into the countryside, into kitchens and cellars, into conversations with producers, and into the layered histories carried in each bottle. Also a Dream grew out of that sense of wonder and the desire to share it with others.

Michael is joined by his partner, Ebony, who brings warmth, precision and good taste to the project. A former social worker, devoted lover of wine (bubbles very much included) and accomplished cook and baker, Ebony helps shape the hospitality and table-side pleasures that make Also a Dream feel generous and alive.

Together, we invite curious tasters and travelers to tread lightly, taste boldly, and share earnestly in the bounty of Atlantic Iberia.
